Pictures From Colorado

Here is Jacob next to a river where we camped one night.

Here is Morgan by the same river.

This is a picture of the sand dunes - very hot and dry, and very hard to walk in.

Here is a beautiful Colorado sunset.

Here is a picture of the kids after hiking to a waterfall - a very cold waterfall.

Here is a picture of Mesa Verde - some ancient Indian ruins in s.w. Colorado.

Here is Haleigh by the river.

Mark and Jacob after Mark fly fished - I love this picture.

First Time

This is my first time to blog - I have been looking at several other peoples blogs, and I decided to give it a try! I wanted to keep everyone updated with our family so that they can see what we are up to. We are enjoying the summer - my last bit of freedom before starting my student teaching. I will be doing my student teaching at Rann Elem. School (where Haleigh goes) for 12 weeks starting August 27th. I am really excited about finishing school, and I am really excited about doing my student teaching with Mrs. Miller in first grade! She is a wonderful teacher, and I can't wait to learn from her. Mark will be starting a new job at the end of August as well. He is leaving teaching to become a gas measurement guy - I'm not really sure what that is, but I know that he won't have to worry about the TAKS test ever again!! What a relief for him. Anyway, he will start that job shortly, and he is really excited about the change. We have had a great summer so far - I am getting ready for the kids to go back to school!!! We spent a week in Colorado with my family, we have been working a lot, and we will be going camping at a lake somewhere this upcoming weekend. We were supposed to go to Lake Texoma (as we do every year with a large group from church), but the campground where we were reserved is flooded. We are trying to find an alternative lake, and hopefully it will all work out! Here are a few pictures from our trip to Colorado.
